W . O . W. You are THE BEST.
In 24 hours, we're at 43% of our goal. Holy cats. Earlier today, we were trending on Twitter for a bunch of folks, and in extremely cool news, we're officially a Kickstarter Project We Love!!! This is a big deal for us and we are STOKED. This happened in part because of the early support from so many of you: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
We were in studio last weekend to lay the base tracks for this album to get moving on giving you a taste of what this is like, and already "Relatable Content" is such a diverse album in terms of sound and content. These songs are the most vulnerable, complex, and gorgeous things we've ever created together. "Heartless" and "The Alligators" are already sounding so beautiful that I can't drive and listen to the work mixes without crying. Even the fun light-hearted ones like "Buffalo" get a real depth on these recordings. They're the best thing we've made yet, and we are so, so excited to share them with you.
THANK YOU for listening to us, supporting us, and being the best fans and friends (we're still workshopping "frans") that we could ever ask for.
We'll be live streaming from the studio this weekend (and if you missed our Kickstarter launch concert, you can catch it here! We're playing some of the tunes live for the very first time...I apologize, the piano had been drinking, not me...), and by popular demand, we'll be doing some live streaming and taking questions while we do other stuff, like SCIENCE. 1) Our song "Smile!" from our album "Something's Rotten" is getting some new life: it inspired the pin design in this campaign AND our friends the Misbehavin' Maidens are covering it on their new album, which is also on Kickstarter now!
